Soo--GUESS WHAT?!
I started P90X today. =)
I never had New Years Resolutions to workout but I figured it was about time to take care of myself.
MAN am I exhausted and sore!
I was actually inspired by another girl doing P90X 2 on my floor. I saw her working out and remembered that distant time when I had energy and felt good about myself.
Just for the record, I TOTALLY feel good about myself right now. I'll suffer later. =D
After I got done working out two girls in my suite decided to hit the school gym.
Working out is a chain reaction.
Its a good thing, people.
I was tentative about blogging my experience with P90X...or actually just working out.
I figured if I never told anyone and skipped a day no one would know if I was failing. And if I did, everyone would know I failed. lol. oh well. It's out now.
I'm tired and I have my morning theory class tomorrow.
Good Night!
Work Out!

Late January Update
Hello!!
I have been really busy with the spring semester! New classes, new roommate, and a new year!
This semester I am taking a heavier credit load so I have quite a lot more homework to do (although the reading amount is about the same...less even).
Between homework, work, classes, and church I'm trying to edit all of my videos. They're all going to be latee!! I'm doing the best I can and I'm really working on my time management. Not much free time to work with, but I'll get to it. I promise!!
...and I won't forget about this blog!!
I am trying a few new products and they're working quite well (except for the Garnier Fructise Frizz Serum...which didn't do anything at allllllll...so I returned it). I'm editing my video on that and hopefully I'll blog about it more when I can get it up.
=)
ta ta for now <33

Crazy Crazy Christmas
What a Wonderful time of the year!!
I love winter and fresh snow... and the Christmas Spirit!
On College Life:
It's getting around to finals week for college kids though...and everyone is scrambling to get in last minute papers, exams...or extra credit. =)I had my big singing exam yesterday (Juries). It was very nerve-racking, but I got through and did ok. I've been sick so I coughed my way through the last line, but they gave me some mercy.
I only have three big finals left next week and I'm working on two papers. Not too bad, just not enough time.
Also, the room next to me in my suite will be empty next semester. It's bigger than my room. I hope I don't get a roommate and most likely they'll fill that room up before they put someone with me. But I'm super excited for fresh faces! I didn't click with the girls who roomed next to me. They were wonderful, but it just didn't work. The rest of the suite-mates and I are brainstorming suite-decorating ideas for next semester. We're having a 'night cafe' theme because we've strung up Christmas light and love the look and feel. It will be a bit bohemian and even Parisian.
We're all bringing our mini-fridges out of our rooms (they're too loud, especially in the middle of the night) and we're setting up a little kitchenette area in the corner of our living room.
Also, we're losing our TV so we've decided that our suite will be a more 'chill' suite. Good for sitting and doing homework without distractions. We're all bringing board games for a board game table (though I doubt I'll be playing everyday). Nonetheless, it will be a fantastic atmosphere. I'm super excited!!
On Beauty:
It's been getting a lot colder here and the air is getting pretty darn dry. It's given me a cough that I just can't seem to get rid of, no matter how many cups of tea or cough drops I have. It has also affected my skin. My skin has gotten dryer than a raisin. Most of my face has been flaking and even gotten irritated. I've been very careful with what I use to cleanse my face because a lot of my products have only been contributing to the problem.
I have been avoiding anything with salicylic acid (for acne prone skin) because it really sucks the moisture out of the skin. I have been moisturizing like crazy and gently exfoliating when I can.
I usually use Aveeno's moisturizer and lotion but it doesn't really help. My mom uses Intensive Lotion from Aveda that is super creamy and does a lot more than Aveeno. I tried it out first to see if I would break out but it doesn't seem to clog up any pores! I use it daily, as often as I need it. It has been helping. My flaking skin doesn't bother me as much anymore but I'm still looking for a better moisturizer.
I am also trying out an angled ELF eyeliner brush from their studio collection. I was in desperate need a new one for my gel liner (Maybelline Eye Studio in Blackest Black). I love it. It's a smaller brush than the one I was using before and I feel like I have soo much more control over the thickness of the lines. =) Happy camper. Best $1 investment ever!
On the Season:
December is such a busy month for me. There are parties and banquets and parades and flashmobs!! My weekends are jam packed! Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures and post them up!
I'm really excited for winter activities. I love ice skating, sledding, snow ball fights, making snowmen and snow angels!! They're the only things that get me through the cold!
I'm looking forward to going home for Christmas break. We have a fireplace in the living room and I want to just curl up in a blanket next to the fire with my cat and a good book to read!
One of the things I love most about Christmas is the music! I'm listening non-stop to Christmas stations (radio and pandora..when there are too many commercials!) I'm drooling over Michael Buble's new Christmas album and I'm hoping to pick it up sometime soon!
On Current Song:
Ok..So maybe Christmas music isn't the only thing I'm listening to right now. I've been listening to the Soundtrack of "Love Never Dies" a musical. It is the sequel to "The Phantom of the Opera" ---which I LOVE!! (I even have the DVD) Anyway, I just spent hours listening to this and the music is stunning!
This is "Love Never Dies" Give it a listen!
On Misc.:
I haven't had a chance to take many pictures, but I'll be back home soon AND its a whole new world out there with the blanket of snow--I'm sure I'll be able to get something up soon (a week or two...maybe?)
Off to a recital and more papers and exams to study for!

A College Student's best friend
POST-IT NOTES!!!
Use it for reminders,
friendly messages,
bookmarks,
origami paper,
decorating....
This is something I found on google. Check it out!
Twenty uses for Post-it Notes
1. Mark your place in a book. It seems so obvious, yet relatively few students seem to do it. When your professor picks up with the poem or short story or chapter of the day, you’ll be on the same page.
2. Mark the beginning and ending points for a reading assignment: immediate feedback on your progress.
3. Mark selected readings in an anthology.
4. Mark the notes or glossary at the back of a book for easy repeat access.
5. Mark passages in a library book.
6. Keep several Post-its on the inside cover of a datebook, planner, or notebook: now you’re prepared to leave a note anywhere.
7. When you sit down to work, make a small-scale to-do list on a Post-it and stick it to your desktop.
8. Leave a Post-it on your alarm clock or inside doorknob as a reminder.
9. Avoid fines and late fees: put Post-its with due dates on library books and DVD rentals.
10. When there’s no Scotch tape, cut the sticky edge from a Post-it to use as fake tape.
11. Use the sticky edge as a temporary label for a folder.
12. Fold the sticky edge into a hinge to hold a piece of paper or a postcard on a wall.
13. Wrap the sticky edge around a cable to identify it.
14. Use the sticky edge to clean between the keys of your computer keyboard.
15. Jot down less familiar keyboard shortcuts on a Post-it to keep by your computer.
16. Which way does the envelope go when you feed it into the printer? Draw a diagram on a Post-it and stick it on your printer.
17. If you drive an older car that doesn’t remind you that you’ve left your headlights on, use a Post-it as a reminder. When you put your lights on in the daytime, stick a Post-it note on the driver’s side window. When you leave your car, you’ll see the note and remember why it’s there.
18. Keep a Post-it on the refrigerator and jot down what you need from the supermarket.
19. When you go to the supermarket, remove the Post-it from the fridge and stick it on your wallet. At the store, stick the note to the handle of your cart and have both hands free for shopping. Toss the note when you leave the store.
20. Splurge! Use a whole pad of Post-its to make a flip book. (Thanks to my son Ben for this last tip.)

Updated Life
It's been a long while since I've posted anything up.
It's official, I've lost my camera and ALL it contained. =( so bummed.
but on a lighter note, FALL brings the most Beautiful colors!! I love playing in leaves. =)
So anyway, I've been breaking out and I credit it to a few things:
One: I drink too much raspberry iced tea and sprite. Too much sugar and whatever else is bad in it. I need to drink more waterr!
Two: I need to invest in a good cleanser. I am currently using a drugstore cleanser that doesn't really clean at all.
Three: I've been super stressed out. More prayer and meditation is needed.
Being in college and living kind of by myself has really shown me who I am. I've realized that I'm really not a messy person. Everything has a place and I like it to be there...or I get stressed out. My space is pretty clean.
I am looking forward to transferring locations for my job. I would be able to work a lot more and do my job more efficiently. Right now though, they're making me go back and forth between managers.
This past weekend was my bf's birthday. On Saturday we ended up at Mall Of America and we finished our couple outfit (first one so far). It's simple but cute. We both have all black vans, jeans, and a simple black V-neck.
The other day my bf and I went downtown to take pictures. He had to for his photography class, I wanted to because I like to take pictures of things. lol. I ended up taking a lot of him though.
It's been a beautiful fall season and I'm super excited about all the fall colors.
Here are some pictures:
oh yeah, we're cool. =P

Living the Life
Quick Updates:
I've been in college for a few weeks to almost a month now.
Took the Light Rail for the first time
I turned 19 last Friday
Went to the State Fair
Nolan Slovets' Concert--a dorm floor friend's cousin.
I am LOVING the college life. No, I'm not super crazy and I don't party every night....or....at all, really.
Since I have a room all to myself I've been hiding and studying most of my free time. =)
I'm liking my schedule. Not too bad. My busiest day is Wed. because I have my music lessons and such, but otherwise nothing too overwhelming. I've been taking snapshots of my life but I haven't been able to download them because I need a USB thing for my camera- so I went home this weekend and brought it...just to find out that I left my camera at home!!!
So one more week before pictures will be up. =)
I even made a video tour of my room. =DD
I took the light rail a few days after school to go to the Mall Of America. It was cool. =) Nothing overly dramatic.
For my 19th birthday I decided that I just wanted to have a 'chill' night. Nothing too stressful. Just hung out with my friends&boyfriend. Went out to dinner downtown and walked back to the dorm. It was a beautiful night as well.
The State Fair was pretty awesome. I ate A LOT!! I had the BEST ice cream and really good cheese curds. My boyfriend and I stayed for fireworks and it was pretty phenomenal. =)
My DL for my dorm floor's cousin had a concert at a cafe downtown so we went to support him. I wore a pretty 'tough' outfit. It was tough with touches of femininity. I took pictures, they'll be up. =)
But the concert was amazing. Nolan was pretty good. It was chill and an acoustic set--but his voice is amazing. Check him out on FB: https://www.facebook.com/nolanjohnmusic
I will hopefully have LOTS of pictures and a video up by next week. =)

College: Day One
After all the prayers and anxiousness, I'm finally here!
God has truly been faithful and good.
I'm not rooming with anyone so I have the dorm all to myself! I've never had this much space or storage in my life! I feel truly blessed with everything that's happened.
Welcome week is well on its way and I'm meeting TONS of wonderful people!
I realized today that college is such an amazing time in everyone's life. Especially here, at a Christian University. God is working and the passion that people have with what they want to do is incredible!
What a defining time in one's life this is. I'm so excited!
I am having storage and decorating problems.
I have nowhere and nothing to put or store my jewelery in.
My walls are BARE. I have no mirror.
Some of the girls and I will be going to the awesome two-story target downtown tomorrow so hopefully I'll get some ideas.
And we're stopping by "The Band Box"** (Just thought that was a worthy note)
